August 2006 - Relocation
Due to restructuring The Rossendale Combining Co. Ltd has now moved from it's Rawtenstall site to join it's Sister Company, Caligen Foam, in Accrington. This is a positive move for a business that has been subject to reducing sales due to the movement oversees of many of it's traditional market places.
Still a major part of the Vita Technical Foam Division, Rossendale Combining is able to offer most of the processes from it's
original portfolio it's new home and remains a major player in the lamination market.

Developing Portfolio
Whilst continuing to service what remained of traditional business, RCC moved into new areas. Growth into hygiene, automotive and medical markets, with more emphasis on finished components, became a strategic direction. As the company embarks upon its second hundred years, it is still a key
link in the development of technical composites. Strategic ties with the
market leaders and the creation of unique combinations and coatings now
provide the way forward. With a greater focus upon environmental considerations
and more effective production techniques, RCC is well placed to develop
alongside industry's requirements.
Its developing portfolio also includes office equipment, greetings cards,
childcare products, outdoor clothing and domestic accessories. Recent
acquisitions will add more scatter and continuous coated products, and
its developing flame retardant back coating technology gives great potential
especially in the furniture trade.
A sign of the changing times is that the company now exports to more customers
than it delivers to in the Rossendale Valley, having customers in America,
Switzerland, Holland, Ireland, Canada, Denmark and Germany.
Rossendale Combining Company, over 100 years old and going from strength
to strength.
